    Metric Internal Tube Support

    Metric Internal Tube Support

Metric compression fittings are the standard for modern UK plumbing and pipework, sized to metric copper tube diameters (15mm, 22mm, 28mm and similar). Our range covers straight couplings, reducing couplings, elbows, tees, bulkheads and hosetails in both brass and nickel-plated brass.

Nickel-plated brass is worth the small extra cost where the fitting will be visible or exposed to a more corrosive environment; it resists tarnishing better than plain brass over time. For anything hidden within a wall or floor void, standard brass is normally sufficient.

As with any compression fitting, the olive does the sealing work, not the nut alone. Overtightening won't fix a leak caused by a damaged or reused olive; it usually makes it worse.

Orders over £200 to England and Wales qualify for free delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes of metric compression fittings do you stock?

Our range covers common metric pipe sizes including 15mm, 22mm and 28mm, across couplings, elbows, tees, bulkheads and hosetails.

Should I choose brass or nickel-plated brass?

Nickel-plated brass resists tarnishing better and suits visible or exposed installations. Standard brass is perfectly adequate for fittings hidden within a wall or floor void.

Why is my compression joint still leaking after I tightened it further?

Overtightening rarely fixes a leak. A damaged, reused or incorrectly seated olive is the usual cause, and the fix is to replace the olive rather than keep tightening the nut.

Do you deliver metric compression fittings near me?

The Hosemaster delivers to all UK mainland addresses. Orders over £200 to England and Wales qualify for free delivery, with 1–2 day delivery and same-day dispatch on most in-stock lines.
