Pipe brackets and fixings for clean, supported installations
Unsupported pipework and hose runs move under pressure and vibration. Over time that movement works on joints, fatigue-cracks line ends, and in worst cases puts mechanical stress on the ports they connect to. Proper support — spaced at the right intervals for the pipe diameter and pressure — is how you avoid that.
The clips and brackets here cover the most common tube and hose sizes used in pneumatic and hydraulic installations. Clip type and spacing requirements vary with the application: a high-vibration industrial environment needs closer support centres and a more secure clip than a static water line.
For copper and nylon tubing, the supporting bracket needs to avoid sharp edges that would cut into the tube wall — most clips here use a formed plastic or rubber insert for that reason.
If you're routing along a panel or enclosure wall, the fixing centres and clip size need to be specified before you start. It is much easier to get that right on paper than to re-route a finished installation.
Frequently Asked Questions
What spacing should I use for pipe brackets?
Spacing depends on pipe diameter, material and pressure. As a general guide, 15mm tube is typically supported every 1.0–1.2 metres; 22mm every 1.5 metres. For high-vibration environments, halve those centres. Check the pipe manufacturer's installation guidelines for the specific material.
Do your clips suit both copper and nylon tubing?
Most clips in this range suit both, as they use a formed insert that avoids sharp metal edges against the tube wall. Check the product specification for the OD range the clip is rated for — tube OD, not bore, is the relevant measurement.
Do you deliver pipe brackets near me?
Yes. We deliver across England and Wales with free delivery on orders over £200. Fixings and clips can be ordered in small quantities — no minimum order applies.
