Gate Valve

Gate valves, also known as sluice valves, are a type of valve that uses a barrier or gate to restrict the flow of liquids.

Because of their design, gate valves take up only a small amount of space on the pipe axis and also allow an almost entirely unrestricted flow of liquid when their gate is fully opened. This gate is usually actuated by a threaded stem that connects the handwheel to the gate.
